Obesity and cats

According to our clinic's statistics 9 out of 10 cats are obese.

This is most of the times due to overfeeding, considering that an adult around 4 kg cat must eat 50-100gr per day. Treats should be counted and table food should be avoided.

Feline obesity is responsible for :

diabetes melittus
hepatic lipidosis
arthritis
pancreatitis
skin problems due to lack of grooming over the body
urinary problems
heart problems

Talk immediately to your vet if your kitty is obese.
